New exhibition and programme of events:  ‘Farming in the Washburn Valley’

From 1 February our new exhibition 'Farming in the Washburn Valley' will be on display in the Centre.

WHC announces a new exhibition and programme of events.  The theme ‘Farming in the Washburn Valley’ will run from 1 February to 23 May 2019, offering you the chance to take part in a diverse range of activities from an allotment visit to a trip to the Wensleydale Creamery.   If you missed it, there is  the chance to see the excellent exhibition produced by our archive team for the 2018 Great Yorkshire Show.

The exhibition will run from 1 February to 31 May in the Centre and depicts historical aspects of farming in the Washburn Valley.

The programme of events includes some original activities to suit a wide range of tastes: talks on the future of farming and diversification for survival; two suppers; musical events including a harp recital and a slide guitarist playing blues classics; visits including the Dales Countryside Museum;  walks and a chance to see lambs being born at a local farm.
